The Observatoire des Amériques welcomes high-quality papers for its Chronique des Amériques series on its website.
Relevant topics and areas include:
– A follow up on regional or bilateral trade agreements either signed or under negotiations within the Americas, or between an American country and another one outside the Americas;
– An analysis of either the political, social, or environmental effects of hemispheric integration;
– A study on human rights issues, gender issues, inequality, security, social movements etc. within the Americas.
Proposed chronicles should be between 2,000 to 4,000 words. Footnotes must be limited. All papers will be peer reviewed. The submissions must be original and not already published elsewhere.
Interested collaborators are invited to consult our website in order to familiarize themselves with the norms of presentation of the chronicles, as well as with the type and level of analysis expected. Papers may be submitted in French, English, Spanish or Portugese. Priority is given to quality submissions in French. Chronicles in the other three languages are posted on a monthly basis only, or on a three to one ratio.
Prospective authors should send a proposal, including an abstract, title and deadlline at the Observatoire’s coordination office, at
